Grand Seiko is now an independent brand as announced at Basel.

 

What do you guys think of this 2017 frederique constant flyback chronograph ?

Anyone also think Heuer should be independent now ?

 

Not fan of the brand... you're better off with a Longines in my opinion.

 

I am also not a fan. But they really surprised me this year with this chronograph.

Oh my the longines heritage really left a impression on me !

I struggle to see what that actually means and what difference there is, especially given how Seiko/Epsom is structured.

 

It just means that Seiko, on its own, will not appear on the dial. The watches will be branded Grand Seiko and not Seiko.

Other than Seiko admitting that they know their "fans" are essentially ashamed of them, what difference does it make to the watches?

Citizen eco drive is a great watch for the money. Mines stopped working
