Just an interesting topic and very curious what would come up in this list :) Something to spice up the superb community of Calibre 11 & all Heuer / TAG Heuer enthusiasts in here :D

Probably you have one or won’t have one. ;)

Mine would be a TAG Heuer Monaco Vintage 1133G Re-Edition  or a TH Carrera Tourbillon :p or a TH Carrera Connected

Started with a 1133B SMQ Re-Edition. Will probably exit it with a 1133G Re-Edition

    Exit?

    not sure i understand either!

Do you mean last Tag, then move along and don’t look back?

I’m not sure that can be answered. Never say never and all that. Who knows what they might release or reissue down the line?

exit for me would be. So if you liquidated your tag collection, which would you keep or buy?

Apologies if I’ve completely missed the point of the thread.

if push comes to shove I’d say the 50th Monaco box set.

Yes, what is an exit Tag? Do you mean the ultimate watch that means we need to buy no more? If so, I'm not sure such a thing exists, or if it does, it may not scratch the itch for ever. However, if I could wish for just one watch it would be a pure, vintage style Carrera. It would have:

    - 39mm case in slimmer profile than the current iteration
    - Plexi crystal
    - Heuer 02 3-subdial configuration
    - Manual wind movement with solid steel caseback
    - Uncomplicated panda dial
    - Black perforated rally strap with Heuer deployant clasp

Don't think I'd want for another watch if I had that.

Yeah I know it can be confusing with the word “EXIT” It can be your “grail” it can be not. It can mean your “last” or it can be something you are finally content with ;)

Some of those I knew who answered this were just plainly “stumped”:rolleyes::eek:

    But surely not three?

Actually, is the Flying 1000 an EXIT watch? No, of course not. But if I won the Lottery I would buy one for sure.

I envy anyone who can honestly say they could have any one watch to the exclusion of all others forever. There's a story on Calibre 11 of a guy who bought a red resin F1 and wore it for ages and then when it was absolutely knackered he got all the bits and remade it. He said when he bought it it was the watch he wanted to wear for the rest of his life and so far that's exactly what he's done. I think that's pretty cool, I wish I could be so decisive!

I can honestly say that about the Carrera I described above. Only problem is, it doesn't exist. And the fact it would stop me buying any more watches is good enough reason for Tag not to make it! :)

But don't you think you'd get bored eventually? I mean, even if you loved the watch surely one day you'd want a reverse panda or a blue dial or something? Just for a change?

Apart from anything else, what are you gonna do when it goes off to be serviced?

Ooh i forgot to include this :)

The Heuer James Bond Watch! It can be seen at the Heuer catalogue of the year of my birth ;)

The Living Daylights Bond Film was shown in 1987, but there’s confusion whether the watch sported a Heuer / TAG Heuer logo. That same watch (980.031) was released much earlier when it was presented in the film  Cheers!

I learned a long time ago never to say "this one's a keeper" :) You're right, you can never say you'll never get bored with something and want a change. But usually it's because you see something better that comes along. It would take a lot to top the Carrera I've described.

I've also noticed over time that my collection has really stabilized. There are still comings and goings, but a couple of pieces I've had for a long time now, and that in itself makes them harder to part with.

I've done a fair amount of background research on this and am pretty certain it was the Heuer 980.031L. I'm still putting together my thoughts/research on it all but there are a number of reasons I've come to that conclusion!

I don't have a specific "EXIT" watch. My exit watch will be the last watch I buy before I die.
