It’s just a shame about the hideous cyclops, the different-for-the-sake-of-it 6pm date, the ridiculous octagonal hour markers, bargain basement movement and the price

Well the 6 o'clock date isn't necessarily different for the sake of it - it works really really well on the Seamaster 300M for instance. But that one is properly integrated... it's the cyclops that screws it up. Everything else works well enough, especially the hour markers - they look circular from a normal viewing distance, only revealing the octagonal shape up close. It's actually not too bad, at least on the 844LE

That would make sense, the problem is to keep the chart from being 15 feet long I ended up using the empty space for the labels, hence why all the new watches are on the left and all the older ones on the right.

Well this is what happens when you stray outside your lane huh. The Tudor post will be back on Monday, rewritten.

Good point. He neither confirmed or denied if he had tried on the correct watch or not. The mystery around this whole leak grows bigger and bigger

She got it out of the window and it's the only one that looks like that, just right of the middle. So either it IS a BB58 or it's labelled wrongly?

The BB58 has gilt numbers on the bezel. That's an easy way to tell the difference. From your description, though, it doesn't sound right. The BB58 is in no way slab sided.

Now I'm confused. I think it had gold gilt on the bezel and having looked at photos of the bb58 I'd say it is slab sided. So then it must wear huge for a 39mmm!

Black Bay and Black Bay 58.... both look pretty slabby to me! But, I think the crown was like the top one - so that's confusing.

I like the dial. But the case is not for me. The lugs are too long and those end links - eurgh.
Most people say the BB58 wears just right, but I wouldn't call it a small watch - definitely has presence. But it's smaller than a modern Rolex Sub - more like the older Subs, and absolutely perfect on my 6.75" wrist. The 41mm Black Bays are slab sided. The BB58 is not. Pic below shows the 41mm BB on my wrist. BB58 is nothing like as chunky as this.
