Ok enough "white this white that", can we get this thread back on topic. What other cool James Bond Omegas are there?

Just go buy an original Seamaster 2531.80 - they're not too expensive and pretty much exactly resemble the watch he wore in GoldenEye.

Yes been looking at those earlier today actually. Prices seem decent too. Will head into the omega forum and start lurking to learn more, feel like a real amateur in Omega world

Fortunately I don't think there were many variations on the original design other than switching at some point from tritium to luminova, so it should be a good start without getting in over your head

Yeah they're pretty nice, I've been sorta keeping an eye out for a tritium titanium chrono. Not too easy to find those though!

I dont know man, what kind of source is "Goldsmiths" anyway? Sounds like a real estate company selling counterfit jewelery on the side

I’ve seen them described watches ‘white gold’ and they look silver to me, the watch is upside down in the picture for a start.

A car salesman got uppity the other day when I said I didn’t like the demo car in battleship grey, it had some fancy name but still looked like a primer coat grey to me.;)

Well the TAG Heuer website says it's white, so I'm guessing it's silver - because we all know the TH website doesn't know sh*t.

    Indeed it does.

Like many very light silvers, it depends on the lighting. Under most lights it will typically look white, but under certain lighting one can see the silver. One can argue it's both or either, it's just like your purple watches you call blue. ;)

I've actually tried this watch on, to my eyes the general look is white.

Fair enough, I still wouldn't put it in my top 5.

    And my Kirium IS blue!

As it stands, tomorrows post will be about a 2000 Series I saw on EST1897, then on the 18th will be the Maurice Lacroix Akion Venturer, the Bell and Ross BR05 will be on the 24th, the Carrera Elegant will probably be the 30th and the rest will follow every six days. So by the end of October they should all be done and dusted.

^What he said, especially as Brosnan is your favorite Bond.

Yes it's a very cool looking box and set. But I would never buy it even if I could afford it, simply on principle. This watch celebrates 50 years of OHMSS, but Bond wore a Rolex in that movie. Omega trying to re-write Bond history at its best, I'm not buying it.

TAG Heuer often call their white dials silver too, so it isn't just Goldsmiths.
