I can't help but feel that most of the more recent 'Bond' Omegas are too contrived.

Skyfall, very cool. I have so much watch goodies to look forward to once I start watching these Craig movies

Yes, this is what it’s actually like to wear the NTTD on the wrist.

Omega decided not to put an anti-reflective coating on the outside of the crystal (only on the underside). I absolutely hated it.

I recently bought a standard, black steel model though and that watch is fantastic

The wave dial is really nice, it catches the light in an attractive and interesting way that doesn't affect readability at all (I think one of the issues with the NTTD is that the dial is matte and thus cannot compete with the super-reflective crystal). And the date window is so nicely integrated *cough*TAG*cough* that it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Thanks Adam, great input. A real shame about the crystal.

From the standard models no colour combo has yet captured my heart, but they are great watches for the money no doubt.

Yeah, I honestly think the steel 300M is probably one of the best values in watches right now. And you can walk into any Omega Boutique or AD and buy one today - no wait lists, no games. ::love::

I think the Nekton edition is really cool too, but I'm not one for steel bezels (yes, I know this one is Ti but still). The dial is a really cool gray in person.

The Seamaster Spectre 300 comes in this special box where the lock combination is 007.

And in the movie it has a rather noisy alarm feature.

The NTTD comes in a watch roll that has all sorts of pockets for extras that don't come with the watch... that was my other issue with it. There's literally no sense of occasion, the way there has been with previous Bond watches

Yes I saw in an unboxing video, very strange

"and here is a pocket for a watch strap tool, which Omega is too cheap to even bother including with the purchase"

Yeah, on a cheaper watch maybe not an issue... but a Bond watch? Much less a $9000 Bond watch? Pretty disappointing. Should have come with an extra strap for that price, at the very least.
