I'm looking at a used way 211c with some signs of wear, nothing too bad but a bit more than I would expect from a watch of this age. The left side of the case has quite a few signs of wear particularly with the curves on the protruding bump on the side of the case. I'm wondering if a polish is included in the Tag warranty. If not I'd be willing to pay for it but either way, I don't know if it's possible to do it without affecting the the shape of the edges.

    In short, no.

I had my Microtimer polished, and I was pleasantly surprised by the results. Make sure you take it to someone who knows what they're doing though - mine was a TAG AD.

Scratches are to be considered normal "wear and tear" and the guarantee covers only manufacturing flaws. So you're likely to be charged for the polishing, but it can be very nice to get back a new looking case.

With that being said, the Aquaracer is a tool watch, it is supposed to have a few scratches, they tell a story;)

I don't know if I'm overreacting, they do run along the whole length of the bottom of the bump. They probably look worse in the pics but it appears there is a nick or chip in the middle part of the bump as well which is my main concern. The scratches that run on the bottom of the bump are probably from laying the watch down on it's side. I guess it's normal because of the shape but I'm worried it might not buff so easily compared to a regular smooth sided case.

1k usd with a year warranty remaining sounds ok. The watch is quite dirty, I don't know what the owner has been doing with it with some dirt stuck on the bezel and fingerprints and streaks that took several wipes to clean off. Probably using it as a beater/tool like it's meant to be.
