You may have seen the announcement of TAG Heuer's partnership with the BMC Cycling team. While TAG Heuer has been out of cycling sponsorship for some time, it was involvedin the early-mid 1980s. Much of this was off the back of the 2000 Series launch in 1982, which promoted the new "Chrono-Quartz" series. The sponsorship continued through to the very first days of "TAG-Heuer" and the 7-Eleven team with Sean Kelly.
I know they've been involved in sponsoring some local cycling events recently too, I actually received an email about the TAG Heuer Peaks Challenge Gold Coast month or two ago: https://www.bicyclenetwork.com.au/general/media/4395/ So they're even involved at a grass roots level as well as now sponsoring BMC's pro team. I actually only recently started watching events around the last Tour De France but it'll be cool to see Porte and co being supported by TAG Heuer in the 2017 season, maybe they can take it to Froome and Sky next time around.
