Here's Breitling's take on the "smart/connected" watch; as you can see it embodies some of the features discussed on this forum.

I don't see that as a "smart" watch. It's a quartz watch with some normal digital watch features such as stopwatch, countdown timer, dual time zone, etc. You can control it via your phone instead of the buttons and because of that you get a horrible wi-fi symbol on the dial? Am I missing something here?

OK. Seems more of a competitor to the Tissot T-Touch.

True. It'll be interesting to see if TH decides to use this "connected" approach on theirs, or if they will try to launch a bonafide "Smart watch".

It's going to be fascinating to see the different thinking on "smart watches".

Looking forward to it...only a couple of days to go

Can't wait! I'm not yet convinced I need a smart watch. Although arguably I don't need a watch at all.

Regarding the obsolescence, I'd be interested to know what percentage of TAG customers buy a new $3000 watch every 3-5 years, I suspect its relatively high?

Perhaps a Formula E inspired smart watch?

So the rumor on the street is that the partnership will be with Google and Intel.
