Great film. Hope the second is as good.
No offence guys but I think this is a shame.
A key element of the original movie was the arch-Bond 'Britishness' distilled to the point of high cheese. Bremont fitted this perfectly and I think the formula breaks down if the cheese is now Swiss.
A bit like Eggsy wearing brogues............
I hope it's not a Connected in that photo; doesn't fit with the overall theme and certainly not the attire.
Based on the Instagram post, I'm afraid it is.
Don't see the problem in this. Got to be a British watch because of the Bond style? He always wore Swiss watches. Omega, Rolex and the odd Tag. In books it was always a Rolex.
I don't have a problem with the Monaco but the ruddy Connected can get lost.
I tend to agree with an earlier post though that Bremont was better suited. No doubt TH paid more .
But it's NOT Bond. Bond movies always have a British element snuck in, the original Kingsman's schtick was having that Britishness cranked up to 11 all the way through.
At least Eggsy doesn't drive a Tesla in this one but as Mr O says, his probably would if Elon Musk paid enough.
Didn't say it was. If you have seen the film then will know that the normal looking tools they use are not normal but high tech. Even the umbrella. Therefore, if the watch has to be the smartest in looks and tech I would say the Connected is the perfect match.
I for one approve
I must have missed the Connected update that adds laser beams, truth serum and telekinesis capabilities.
I haven't seen any of the Kingsmen movies nor is it likely I will (just not my interest) but I am glad for the publicity for TAG, who have been on a good roll for now. I really like what the company is doing with watches for many different tastes and lifestyles, accessible luxury, and am very happy for their renewed success.
I caught the first Kingsman movie on a plane somewhere, very entertaining. I think the connected is perfect for the movie: stylish and hi-tech, with good heritage.
New packaging and minor details. Available from July 6th on @mrporterlive
Another day, another cheese
Absolutely. JCB and his cheese are inseparable & indivisible.
For me the interesting part is not the watch itself, but the fact that it will be sold exclusively through Mr. Porter, an online website part-owned by Richemont
