    Hello everybody,

I recently acquired this Tag Heuer pro -2000 series piece. It is in excellent condition with a steel case and grey dial.
    The serial number is 962.206R.
I wold like to know more information about this piece and to know whether it is original. This is my first Tag so i'd love to know as much as possible.

    Have a great day!

Looks like a genuine classic 2000 to me, and it's in decent shape. I've got the same watch, but with a black dial. Mine is a 962.006 and also referred to as a WE1110. I had mine refurbished. TH replaced the bezel with a 12-angled version found on the latter WK series. I've still got the original round bezel, but I like the 12-angled version myself. The markers on my dial also have more prominent metal surrounds. I believe mine is a later version than yours. Here's mine so you can compare. Enjoy your watch!

There are a couple of versions of your watch- here it is in the 1988/ 89 Catalogue

Note that this version has "2000" on the dial and a monochrome logo. Moving to the 1991 Catalogue, the same watch now has the coloured logo and loses the "2000" on the dial.

...and by 1992/3 Catalogue we have a new reference number system that uses the same format as today.

So in this case, we know that you watch is 1990/ 1991, because before this it had a different logo and after this time the reference numbers changed.
