I had a thing about size for a while, but now I've got used to smaller I realise that it can be just as good....

So I wish I can keep all the watches I buy but I tend to trade up to a better model from what I have. Thinking if trading my pepsi for this beaut. Whats your thoughts ?

The Calibre 36 (Zenith El Primero) movement is very good. However, I'm less of a fan of the dial on that Carrera. I think it looks modern, yet a bit dated at the same time if that's possible. Whilst it's a superior watch to the Aquaracer in most respects, the colour of the Cal 36 is too similar to everything else you have and I think you may miss the splash of colour that Pepsi provides!

Obviously it's your collection, but if that were mine, I'd do the swap with the Aquaracer chrono or the Skeleton Carrera instead. You also have two Carrera Heuer 01 that look quite similar.

If I may give my humble 2 cents, YES. the Carrera Calibre 36 Flyback (Carrera El Primero as I call it ) is a great watch! And to have one of the most iconic movement in an iconic watch was something I’ve always wanted. Almost bought the same model as the picture above but went with the Racing version :)

I’d probably keep the Aquaracer. It’s a dive watch with a GMT function. All purpose tool watch and can be great & looker depending on the occasion. I saw you have 2x Heuer 01 Carrera, probably 3x counting the skeleton dial. Unsolicited advice is to make one of each out of your collection quite unique ;) HTH

That's some good advice from @imagwai but ultimately it is your collection and your decision.

I'm not making fun of you. I just look at the forum and have a passion to increase my collection.

I always balance the value and the price of the watch in my own way, and I buy the watch when I find it valuable. In some cases, I buy something in bad condition and repair it.

I think @slbinko collection is very great because it has almost everything in the Formula 1 catalog.
And reading Aquagraph's blog is very helpful.

All credit to TAG Heuer, they did a lovely job of refurbing my CG1110. Pity they don't have any replacement dials for the original design anymore (you can get the one with the silver subdial rings) but the bezel and bracelet came up amazing. Maybe they replaced the bezel? I'm sure they didn't quote me for that, but it looks like new!

Looks great. Did you have to send it back to Switzerland?

Thanks David. No, it went back to Manchester I believe - it got caught in the Covid19 shutdown so I was without it for about 4 months, plus they put the wrong dial in it and it had to go back... now I'm waiting for a black leather strap for it (with end pieces and clasp) so I can switch it up now and again.

The photo at the top doesn't really show all the scratches, when I got it back I was blown away by the difference. Changing all the hands made a huge difference as well...

The lume pip on the bezel suggests something went on...
