Still got mine. Looks like a very nice custom strap on this one with blue stitching to match the dial?

Could you give it a light polish?

Mmmm. Not sure it would end up looking the same... maybe TAG could polish it though.

I was looking at that- not sure if that's the case, or just a filter...love the idea of a pale blue stitch to match the blue on the dial.

The ability to do things like this is just about the only reason I would ever have to buy the 'connected' watch, and unfortunately it's not enough of a reason to justify the cost!

About the cost... in the case of the Connected Modular 45, if you also buy a Carrera mechanical module:

then the cost of having the watch with two modules (the mechanical plus the smart one) is only about €400 more than that of an equivalent conventional Carrera (Calibre 5 or Calibre 16), just mechanical.

In that case the smartwatch module is costing you just €400, and those €400 difference give you a lot of entertainment and fun ;), in addition to the modularity and variety of accessories and straps available, which doesn’t exist for the conventional ranges...

And if you buy the two mechanical modules (I’m not counting the Heuer 02 Tourbillon module from @Snowy ;), which is in another price league ), then it’s more economical for you than buying two conventional Calibre 5 and Carrera Calibre 16 Carreras, because you are sharing lugs, straps, and buckles with the Connected Carrera. The most brilliant idea and advantage of this watch is its mechanical modules. But if it’s not complemented by a mechanical module, then yes, only as a smartwatch it’s not cheap... :whistling:

Out of interest, and only if you are prepared to share, what have you spent all up on modules and lugs, straps, etc?

The advantage of this TAG Heuer Modular system is that you can add components to the collection little by little, and you do not realize how much you are spending, because you do not spend it all at once... I’m almost afraid to know the total figure ::facepalm2:: :D, but I will do the exercise of calculating everything ;)

    Thanks! :)

I think these first series F1 are lovely! At 35mm size they maybe look too small on the wrist for what we are used to nowadays (because of its thick bezel), but in Connected 45mm version they are very cool!

Thanks to the catalogues you published in calibre11.com, I found 16 different first series Formula 1 dials in men’s size... and I made all of them for the Connected! :D So some more pictures of these Modular 45 Formula 1 are still to come ;)

Wouldn't it be cool if they remade these in 41mm for the 35th anniversary next year?
