Just been looking at the EST1897 website and everything seems to be reduced. Some crazy prices on offer, how about a Link Calibre 36 for £1100 for example? Or a Link Calibre S for £695?
    Check it out

The site doesn't load for me. Is it a new site (prices are too good to be true) or an established one with a genuine sale on?

I got it by removing the "s" from "https" (it puts it back again afterwards).

I'd not heard of them before either but seems like they have a load of stock. Maybe not in as good condition as Watchfinder.

Speaking of Watchfinder, their prices have gone through the roof. I suspect that happened around the time that the Richemont Group bought them out but I can't be sure as I haven't bought from Watchfinder since October 2015.

Comparing just the Carreras, they don't seem a lot more than the EST 1897 prices, although they are trying to flog a Rake Carrera LE for £7650.

I bought a two tone 2000 Exclusive from a local pawnbroker and the receipt was marked EST1897. They seem to have suspended it for the sale, but generally you can have the watches sent to your local pawnbroker for viewing... they do seem to be cheaper than Watchfinder and I don't think it's fair to say they aren't as good quality - I've noticed lots of scratched bezels on Watchfinder, especially the Grand Carreras.

My 300SLR came from Watchfinder. I ended up getting them to refund me GBP200 because the strap was shagged but that was not shown in the photographs, so I quite agree that they are not perfect.
