Ive also just disabled 'Switch WIFI On when charging' seems unnecessary to me !! and hopefully is why my watch is only charging to 98%

Not sure what enabling adb debugging will do for us though !!

Also I have just had an android wear update to the watch as well, hopefully some improvements within!!!

A few Watchmaker TAG faces ( plus a couple of others in the screenshots) that I have if anyone wants them (I can email the files). Not sure whether they have been taken down from the WM site. The Changer is pretty good - it has 4 different faces. Screenshot_20170322-130012.png Screenshot_20170322-125948.png Screenshot_20170322-125749.png Screenshot_20170322-125250.png

Hello thanks to everyone who wrote their reviews and posted pictures. I'm strongly considering getting this watch but I have some concerns. Besides the battery life I'm concerned about my iPhone 7 connecting with the watch. I know that it will work better with an android but I want to know how's the user experience with an iPhone. Thanks again

First "calibration" round after allowing the battery to die since Monday's charge. If the watch is "idle" it doesn't consume much. But when you are using "intensive" processes, or transferring data, then the battery tends to deplete much faster.

    Did they
All notifications are pushed to the watch. All texts and calls are alerted on the watch both on screen and vibrate. There is no speaker on the watch so you cannot take calls.

Other than that, I'd say the watch and phone are two separate entities. Is there anything in particular you needed to know?

Thanks for answering what about the maps app or the steps counter will it show the texts on the watch?

    Texts show on the watch.

I've got google maps and it looks the same. Zooms straight into my location. You don't need a phone for this one.

I've not gone into the fitness stuff yet as been analysing the battery on normal usage. Going to work on that this weekend.

    My last battery update.

To recap. Six nights earlier the max I could get was 14 hours. After depleting the battery each day and recharging overnight I have 20 hours. It did go higher by an hour after each night.

This is with everything set to on so no battery saving. In house faces, looking at all notifications as they came through.

If your battery isn't quite right then do the charging as I have.

Software updates should regularly include small battery improvements.

Enjoy your smart watch and celebrate the fact they
    wind up Aquagraph ;)

I'm not sure what adb debugging does either, but I have had the watch on for over 13 hours now and still have 45%of battery left! Going to try it with WiFi and staylitwear on tomorrow and see what I get.

Can confirm the battery life is terrible, to the point I actually returned mine today. Was getting no more than 10 hours from the watch, despite 'conditioning' the battery as per earlier threads. It's definitely a software issue, I also have the Huawei watch, and 'Android System' (you'll find it in the battery stats) on Android Wear 2.0 uses a significantly smaller proportion of the battery through a day. I'm using it with a OnePlus 3 phone, which although busy during the day is not pushing the watch beyond what is reasonable. Sure they'll get it sorted, but not willing to spend that kind of money on a watch that can't get through a full day. Pity, because the build was absolutely stunning, I had the brown leather strap and black face. Shop were great, and I wasn't the first customer to take mine back with the issue.

    Hey,

    Great forum...

I'm considering buying the Connected Modular very soon, which would be my first smartwatch. I also have an iPhone 7 Plus. Does anyone else have experience using the watch with the 7 or 7 Plus? Any issues or deal breakers?

    Thanks.

I made it about 10 1/2 hours today, some moderate use of maps while driving.

adb is the android development kit debugger -- you can issue commands to do various things on the underlying operating system that the watch runs on, like copy files, install programs, uninstall programs, etc. (when I had problems months ago with the android wear kevo app, I used adb to uninstall it)

I can't imagine that just enabling adb would make any significant change in the operation of the watch -- it would be also interesting and a discussion beyond the scope of this thread if the manufacturer could access specific watches with adb installed!

My guess is they might get some crash reports delivered with adb enabled which might tell them more about what is happening with that particular watch.

It's so sad that with such a fantastic looking watch the topic of conversation is the failing of Tag to provide a properly functioning device. It shouldn't be necessary to "condition" the battery or to even have to consider whether it will last 10, 20 or 30 hours or to have to consider what elements to prostitute to preserve battery. A disgrace in my opinion.

I'm quite surprised they didn't find the battery issues during testing. I would expect 'strap it onto someone's wrist and use it like a watch for a week' to be a normal test for a smart watch. As the buyers on this thread found the issues on day one, tag either didn't test properly or launched with a known issue.

Yes, I'm intrigued to see what has actually changed on my watch, but as previously said, battery usage has changed overnight from 10% plus per hour to between 3 and 4. I'm monitoring again today and have switched wifi onto automatic, display on automatic, NFC on, screen always on and it has drained at less than 4% per hour so far.

When I get the callback from Intel, I'll ask them what was actually done to make such a dramatic change and feedback to the group.
