@Hubert Gotcha. The SW version is 1.3, but I can't upgrade to the latest SW version. I submitted a ticket and will keep you posted.

Was reading that the Connected 39 was due around now, but haven't heard any murmurs here. In saying that, I wonder if/what might be in store for 2018 regarding the 45?

Having recently purchased an Apple Watch (sorry!) just to try as a comparison, the one thing with that I'm loving is being able to select a few pre-set replies to text messages. That saves me a trip to the phone if I'm not nearby. Also found the display to be a lot brighter (easier to read) and the watch doesn't catch on as many cuffs. Also getting 2.5-3 days per charge.

I'd love to see the next Tag with double the battery life and an OLED!

With regards to comparisons of the tag 45 connected to apple watch I am not sure why anyone would bother. The Tag is a high-end watch that happens to be a smartwatch, apple is a normal smartwatch with a proprietary system. Both watches have battery life dependant on how you use them. My wife has an apple watch and has to charge it every evening. But it also does not have an always-on mode which Tag does. With always-on mode and using the standard Tag faces I burn through 3%/hour, if I were to turn off always-on mode then it would be a lot lower burn rate. But the reason people generally buy this watch is it is high-end, actually looks like a high-end watch and as a consequence, the always-on mode is a big attraction. Not sure what folks use the apple watch for but my wife is always complaining the fitness app doesn't measure accurately, Bluetooth shuts off without explanation etc. A more fitting comparison might be with some of the Android watches but again the only one that is semi-high-end is the Mont Blanc (which also has always-on mode). Don't get me wrong, I use an iPhone and think it is better than the android phones I've had in the past (Blackberry and Sony) and my home computers are mostly apple. I just don't see the attraction of the apple watch, looks cheap to me and very unwatch like for lack of a better expression. I'm a watch guy, have a number of watches (rolex, tag, graham, breitling, audemars) and I think watch people are more attracted to the Tag experience. Just my opinion of course.

Ah my bad on the display, perhaps higher resolution is what I'm eluding to.

To give some more context, I'm certainly not putting the Apple and Tag in the same boat. I realise they're entirely different beasts. But my background is that I love the mechanics of luxury watches as well as the looks, but in my early 20s for varying reasons I just found it too cumbersome to wear a watch. And recently I've become interested again, but not having worn anything on my wrist for about 20 years, it was always going to be hard. The Tag was my fist foray back into it, thinking that with the smart features it may just be enough to warrant it.

I only deviated to try the Apple because sometimes I found the Tag a little bulky, and would catch on some jackets, and then the fact that getting notifications was one thing, but being able to respond would just take it to the next level. The Apple Watch looks cheap and nasty imo, but that aside, the form factor doesn't catch on any cuffs, it's so darn light that most of the day I forget I'm wearing it, and I can reply with set text or Siri which I'm finding exceptionally useful. Using it a lot more than I thought I would.

The Apple Watch is going, I just wanted to see what it was all about. I'm just looking forward to the next iteration of the Tag that I'm hoping will yield even just 20% more battery life (I can make it a day but it's annoying when at night you're down to 15% and not sure how long you have left!), and some reply options with SMSs. Hopefully they keep the same modular sizing so that we can just replace the watch module.

Hi can anyone confirm how easy it is to change the straps? Was looking at a YouTube video and the bloke had all sorts of tools and it didn’t look straight forward to be honest...

Were you looking at a video of the original connected or the modular? On the modular you press the button and slide it off. See here:

My Watch constantly loses Connection with my iPhone. Since yesterday I have the iPhone X and before the iPhone 7, but the watch keeps losing the connection. I also set it back to factory settings twice, but nothing is getting better...

In Android there is a setting to keep the application running in the background. Check if there is an equivalent option in iOS.

The settings are all correct, only if i close the app completely its clear that there is no connection, but as long as it runs it the background it should be OK. (As it was on my Connected 46...)

I just recently purchased the connected mod45 and linked it with my Samsung Galaxy S6 using AW 2.0. All messaging apps are working from phone to watch except for text messages. I'm using messenger+. All other notifications are working great (FB, Twitter, LinkedIn, email, ESPN, Nest). Any suugestions?

Thanks for putting those together.....the one I want to see is how to get more than half a day from the battery! That is without blanking the display and not using the watch. That technique works but it’s boring!! Don’t get me wrong I love this watch in terms of looks and function. BUT, it does not last long enough to be of any use. I never take it out for the day cos it will let me down.

Have you calibrated the battery? Search this thread for details. Most of us who have done it are getting a full day battery-life.

Purchased the Tag Heuer Connected 45 and was gutted last week when I scratched the Sapphire screen - after a little investigation and research I discovered a second protective film under the one you pull off when you first buy it

    The scratch disappeared!!!! Happy again

Love the watch - it is expensive and its not the best smart watch - but its the coolest!!
