Update on my woes.
I got in touch with Tag CS, who have so far been excellent.
They sent out a box to post the watch back & I’ve just received the detailed technical report.
They couldn’t find any issues with my WiFi (it would only connect when less than 1ft from the router), but they have stated users on iOS 11 have had WiFi and Bluetooth issues.
Apple have released version 11.0.2 which addresses some of the issues but Tag will be in contact once a permenant fix has been released.
As for my watch falling off my wrist on 2 occasions, this was down to the lugs not being securely attached to the watch head.
I’m not sure if this is a Tag issue or an Ernest Jones issue - but either way, they are sending my watch back to Switzerland to replace these just in case, plus replacing the bezel as a gesture of goodwill (which came off as well & scrached).
I’m happy they are looking to resolve these issues and I can’t fault the customer service, so we’ll see how it looks in 6 weeks when I get the watch back from Switzerland.
I have asked about the Tag companion as well to see when that is due out & what functionality it brings. If I get any info, I’ll share it in this thread.
I’m glad I didn’t sell my Apple Watch now as I’d be without a smart watch for a good 2 months ! I’ve got to say though, I had missed the Apple Watch functionality, but the Tag is streets ahead in style....
