I have the same problem, my dealer removed the first one and I removed a second one that was not easy to see. But I also have the "lip" wich can be touched with the fingernail, and a blueish screen (from side-view) with many fingerprints on it (much more than on the first Connected!).

I have removed both the protectors on the screen yet it's still filthy all the time, feel like I'm forever cleaning the damn thing which is really annoying... Don't ever remember cleaning the original half as much as I do with this?

Also, I got the ceramic version (blue) as I was under the impression that these were near impossible to scratch, well the impossible seems to have happened to me... I'm overly cautious with the watch (well mostly everything I own lol) and definitely havent knocked it on anything but it's scratched, only slightly but I know it's there and it's annoying! The only think I can think that's happened is my little boy went to give me his water bottle to hold which is plastic and as he went to give it to me it clipped the watch, but surely this couldn't have done it could it?

Not sure if it's worth contacting tag about or would I be laughed at? Lol

Sorry... It's the ceramic bezel that's got scratched, just thought it would be a bit more resilient than it's been

If your bezel is "black" or "blue" ceramic, then my understanding is that the circular part is indeed ceramic, but I believe the top and lower "connectors" are not. I believe those are aluminium.

Sorry Hubert that's confused me a little... It's the bezel itself (the blue ring with the markers on it) is that not ceramic?

I believe this is the composition. However, I'm not 100% sure.

Since there are "Blue Aluminium Bezel" editions, are you sure yours is not one of these?

Ok yeah it's definitely the ceramic bit that's scratched... Either side of the marker between the 20 and 25 minute markers

Ok, but the ceramic scratch doesn't reveal a different material underneath, right?

No I don't think so, the scratches are so fine it's hard to tell.. I've tried taking a pic but it's really difficult as you can only really see them in the right light

I have owned a Tag Heuer 6000 steel and 18k gold watch since 1993. After just 3-4 years of wearing this watch I had a link break in the band.I have written to Tag and received no assistance in fixing this issue, which it appears is common on this model. The 'solution' presented by Tag was to purchase a new band for $1800 (which they state was a discounted price ). Because so many of this model have had a similar problem, it obviously was an engineering issue and Tag should stand behind fixing the problem. I paid over A$6000 for this watch and have always taken care of it and it has been in my drawer for years now because the company will n kt stand behind their inferior engineering of the band.

That's not too bad, however I feel your pain. I remember when I scratched the ceramic bezel of my first TAG Heuer in the 90s and I spent time "polishing" until it blended and became almost imperceptible.

The reason I believe the "connectors" are aluminium is because I remember seeing a video in YouTube from a guy that had scratched one of them so deep that it went through the black paint all the way into the aluminum.

I know it's not too bad but doesn't leave me with much confidence knowing that a slight knock from a small plastic bottle has scratched something that is meant to be almost scratch resistant not worth contacting Tag about then?

Quick update- TAG Heuer confirm that there are (still) two layers of plastic film on the dial, both of which should be removed. No real explanation as to why it's so hard to remove on some watches, but they don't believe there is a risk of damaging the AR coating.
