Always on is always off in both testing settings.
Apologies but how do we calibrate the watch battery? My usual routine is to use it all day till next day morning and then charge it. Balance charge ranges between 5% to 20% before I keep it for charging. Thanks guys.
Check from my post onward...
Took the watch back for a replacement. Had 4 employees at Jared looked at it and all said they couldn't see the lines on the display. They all looked at me like I was crazy...store manager replaced it and the new one is perfect! Also a new update was pushed today, did you guys get it?
You might have gotten the earlier update on the new watch-- what is your current build number? Newest should be N7G47I.
Great on the replacement!
What @gnc1000 said ^!
What they say
Yeap that's the build.
Anyone that's using an iPhone having issues with wifi when trying to connect to the play store? It always says wifi is unavailable and they later it will finally connect..also for Bluetooth it says the phone is unavailable.. both of this happened on my first watch as well..
Also on third party faces from the play store that shows the weather...for iPhone it never pulls it??
Same issues here. When not actively transferring data the wifi turns off to save battery per Tag support. The problem is whatever is supposed to turn it back on (play store access for example) doesn't seem to work fast enough and/or consistently enough. If you look in connectivity settings for wifi the choices are off or auto, no on option.
Google either has a software issue or Intel has a wifi radio firmware problem that needs to be addressed.
And yes the same thing happens with watch faces that have weather complications that need internet access to update. My Bluetooth also says unavailable even though the Android wear app on my IPhone says connected. Obviously a bug since it is in fact connected.
Enable developer option, turn on wifi while charging, then the watch will consistently connect to wifi while on the charger. Sad thing is you need to be connected ont the charger to have consistent wifi connection
Same here as well. I'm sure this will be addressed
A new official video about the built-in APPs
Does anyone know of an app that will go onto the watch and tell me how long I have in my battery. I know I can bring up the percentage but I want the amount of time I have left. I also know I can get this info from my phone using the Android Wear app. I just want to know if I can get the info direct from the watch. Hope that makes sense!
Try Wear Battery Stats. You can run that on your watch and get a graph.
Same response I got...basically turn off all the functionality of a smartwatch and the battery may last more than 12 hours. Sent it back, and apparently when they customer service guy walked around the office wearing it for a day it was fine! Not quite the same as getting a call from Intel/Google!
An update-- my watch fell back into the mode of lasting only 12-13 hours, so I decided to a hard reset from the boot menu (described earlier in the thread)...Plus let the battery run down down to zero a few times to 'calibrate'.
Now back to 17-18hrs., completely usable.
I've also discovered if you're not in 'developer mode' and only charge to 96% or 97% restart the watch, put it back on the charger, and you are shortly back to 100%.
There are for sure more software updates coming-- these are common problems.
any idea on when Tag will release their IOS app?
Has anyone run into size issue with the brown calfskin strap? I tried the black rubber one at the store and it was too big for me so I had to purchase the titanium one instead. they didn't have the brown one for me to try one. I'm wondering if its the same fitment?
Yeah thanks, I managed to find that.
I'd be interested to know if that app hastens battery drain itself, please update us on your experiences.
I'm running that always, battery was great today-- 16hrs, just drained to zero at midnight eastern.
