I really hope they see fit to reissue the 807 chronograph someday, even though nobody knows about it
How lucky you are to have married someone with equally poor taste as yourself. My wife and I usually disagree on such things.
I know. She also said, what's up with that one, it looks like the bezel is on backwards (Heritage Diver). I was so proud.
The watch was 2 days old when I was winding it to wear and the crown stem broke.
So I wore it for an hour upon receiving it and put it away. Next try it snapped.
Been in repair since.
I would have either insisted on a full replacement or a refund. If the winding stem broke that quickly, it's likely you have a 'Friday afternoon special' and there will be other things that go wrong.
Yep the place I got it from said they would replace it no problem..but that would have entailed sending it back to USA and having another sent out.
Just opted for a warranty fix.
Let's hope everything else goes well from now on. Fingers crossed.
This arrived today.
My first venture into Hamilton.
Really like the Panda Dial on this.
Limited Edition Intra Matic.
Very nice. What's different about this one to make it limited?
They are from 2017.
An Homage to the original Intra Matic from 1968.
42mm and only 1968 made.
The new models are 40mm
Either Manual or Automatic.
Oh yes, now I remember. Did we discuss this before and it has only just arrived perhaps?
Got an email that Ernest Jones are having a sale. 25% of some pieces, including TAG Heuer, plus don't you like this Longines sector dial @Jim Dollares ? £1800 down to £1250...
Nice! But two issues, they dont seem to offer delivery outside UK and even if they did the Swedish regime would blackmail me for 25% "tax" in exchange for me to even get the package
In theory, you shouldn't have to pay vat twice. In practice, it's probably hard to achieve unless the retailer can deduct the vat for exports. With regards to the other issue, there's always Aquagraph Watch Brokers Ltd?
Timex launches an offer for people horny for Hublot, like Charlie and Rob, but at a more reasonable price
Watchfinder and some others I have seen catering to EU buyers by having system support in place to automatically fix the vat issue. Im guessing Ernest and Jones is more of a physical shop only selling locally within the country
They're a nationwide chain, quite big, so who knows? They must have international clients I'd guess. I can ask them if you're serious.
Naah as much as I really like the sector there are other things in top of my wishlist right now. Thank you anyway!
No cheap flights over for a day pass?
Plandemic has made me panic among disgusting people. Difficult to see myself getting on an airplane anytime in the near future
I wouldn't have considered it either. Now I've actually had covid, I am feeling a bit more relaxed about going places. Until the next variant comes along at any rate.
