Very good point
I'm rooting for the pistachio underdog, just cuz Rob hates it so much.
I think the last time Tag Won anything was the CR2080? Fitting that it's Monza Weekend.
Tudor probably won't win I'm either categories but at least they has a Nom.
Yes, I think you're right. I believe TAG's last nomination was in 2019 for the 80's Monaco 50th.
The BB58 won last year so it's unlikely a Black Bay will win again this year. Still, 3 nominations for the Black Bay is impressive. Even more impressive is 4 nominations for Breitling, despite Jim's dislike of Georges Kern.
You think the panel took that into account?
I was consulted by the jury on my opinions about Kern yes. Difficult to know if it ended up being part of their decisions.
They obviously didn't grease enough palms
I am very 'skeptical' of any award ceremony...
Wow Tudor has 3 entries!
I think the mechanics is the watchmaker submits their entries for selection. Even if you have a nice new watch, you don’t submit, you won’t be counted. Am I right?
Whoa, this is cool
Pretty nice, but as ever, wish they were both 2mm smaller.
What's with the stars?
Some heritage thingy, back in the day their chronometers used to have those stars I believe.
Can confirm. It's too expensive but man oh man is it great on the wrist!
Funny, I was just thinking that I want a less-expensive pilot chrono to use as a driving watch. I figured I'd just go with an IWC Spitfire but this one might just be itttt
I look forward to your impressions and photos then
Literally, a one hand watch. To enjoy the popping fingers dial it's gonna cost an arm and a leg. (Sorry, I couldn't resist)
