Very good points Charlie, agree completely about Tudor.

I used to care a lot about it but the more I learn and understand, the less I care about "in-house". What I care about is the whole package of the watch and what experience it gives me. The emotions, the design, winding action, feeling of wearing and looking at it etc

This is a 'fall off the chair' moment, but I agree.

Oh how I wished we could get a Carrera Shelby Cobra re-edition. Unfortunately this may put a damper on that.

Looks familiar! 17mm thickness; Autavia Heuer 02 is ~15.9mm

Hahahaha, so it's not just me then.... I was going to just be nice and say nothing, but since David's brought it up. They are marginally better than the pistachiographs obviously, but still awful.

Congrats DTF, I actually quite like it really - don't tell Charlie.

It's a lovely thing, extremely nicely made and finished. It is a nice contrast to my daily wear AR, much more subtle.

Well I do and I don't. I quite like the watch head, but I don't like the bracelet and I don't like how everybody goes on and on about how wonderful it is, that just makes me hate it out of principal. I can actually remember a time when I sort of thought about buying one - but that was the red and black original with the rose logo and the ETA movement, not this crappy in house nonsense.

I would personally prefer the bracelet without the rivets, but you really don't notice at a glance or a distance. A micro-adjust would also be good. You can buy aftermarket bracelets for the BB58 without rivets, though. Or fit a Rolex one if you're so inclined.

As for the movement, have you experienced the Tudor movement? It's very smooth - winding the crown is a lovely experience. You're not exactly paying a premium for it either. But I guess your service options are a bit more restricted.
