I've heard that the black dial and black bezel combine to give the impression of a larger-wearing watch, whereas the white dial with black bezel looks a bit smaller on wrist.

As for size, 50mm lug to lug is my maximum limit and a bit bigger than I'm comfortable with tbh. Nice watches, though.

It was hard for me to compare the black vs. white size impression, because the white was on a NATO and had a very different feel. I didn't really care for this watch on the NATO, which is too thin for a thick watch. OTOH, I love the BB58 on a nice NATO.

If I'm honest with myself, the watch is a tad too big for my comfort zone as well. Nevertheless, it's currently at the top of my want list for this year.

If it feels too big now dont you think that would continue bugging you if you buy it? No matter how hard we love a watch its impossible, at least for me, to try and wish to forget or get over something that bothers me when wearing it.

Maybe, maybe not. The Monaco sits too high for my taste and comfort, but I simply love the watch and really don't think about its thickness when wearing it. When I tried on the Monaco 24 Gulf years ago, I really wanted that watch, but just knew its size wouldn't work for my wrist, so I passed. This one isn't the ideal size, but it's workable. Hence, I'm keeping it on my list. Will make a decision when I get to try a white panda on the bracelet.

You can get used to the size of a watch. But everyone has their own limits (in both directions).

Different steel colour for the BB and both chronos is surprising.
I've seen these chronos pass on IG a lot these last few days. They're good looking but I'm not sure about the size of the subdials. They seem a tad small to me. Too much open space. A Daytona style 3 6 9 would have been even better.

I find it varies day to day and depending my outfit, most of the time my 41mm AR is the perfect size. Some days it's tiny.

Thanks for the feedback on the bb58. I love the colour and warmth (I hadn't realised that was what I was loving until mentioned above), I'm slightly worried it's a touch small at 39mm, but maybe the proportions are perfect so it doesn't matter?

Anyone can wear the BB58 but I guess some people find it too small. On my 6.75" wrist, I actually find it quite hefty. Certainly wouldn't want it any bigger. It wear similar to an older Rolex or Tudor Sub, but a bit more substantial and heavier if that makes sense.

I always thought black PVD watches looked smaller, but I agree that the orange dial F1 seems smaller than my all black Senna f1.

Whenever I see photos of them side by side, the steel on the white dial looks lighter (as it does to me in these pics). Same for the blue BB58, which was also mentioned in a video review by Bark & Jack. But the sales guy showing me the watches said the steel was the same on both BB58s, with the same part number for the bracelets. He also believes the steel is the same on the chronos. So I'm not 100% sure now. Agree with you about the sub-dials.

This makes sense to me too. I couldn't tell much difference in the steel colour on my OG 58 and the blue 58. There are bound to be some small variances in colour in different batches.

Can't help feeling they should have either given the black dial one a black date wheel or given the white one a black date wheel.

The hour markers on both models are white, though, so it kind of works.

What chance would you say a guy has to secure a starbucks from an AD? And if so, how long would the wait be?

I guess it depends how much you're spending on other things in their store these days sadly. Maybe if you went in and told them you were buying a watch for your wife and you'd really like to get this piece as well. Or maybe if you gave them a wishlist with some other pieces and this one on it, you never know. Nothing guaranteed, though, sadly.

I find this pretty cool, looks just a bit off when the lights are on though. This would be great on their 3 hand version. I am sure we will see one in the future.

I've tried this watch on twice now at two different ADs. It is no doubt a very handsome watch, but its size keeps it from being a home run. It's not so much the thickness, but the 50mm lug to lug that's giving me second thoughts. This guy has slimmer wrists than I do and the watch looks pretty good on him in the video. But on me, the watch takes up practically my entire wrist width, making it just borderline acceptable. It's odd because I have another watch that's 41mm and 51mm lug to lug that wears smaller compared to the Tudor Chrono. Can't figure out why. ::confused2::

Anyway, I've decided to wait and see what else is released this year. I think once the initial hoopla dies down, these will be more available. Unlike the BB58 which is still kind of hard to get in the US. Also think I'd prefer that glassbox Carrera panda, if TAG Heuer ever gets around to making the proper Panda re-edition that we've been waiting for. :whistling:

    Most likely!

I am also a fan of the BR03-92 with full lume dial
