    Congrats @Hubert!!!
Is that the OEM strap? It looks almost orange, but I guess it's the filter or something you've done to the photo.

So what are your first impressions?

Thanks! Yes, it's the factory strap. I played with the filters to make it look orange, as I dislike the dull brown. I'm still waiting for the NATOs, which should arrive on Wednesday. I'm enjoying looking at so far. I have it sitting next to the silver anniversary Carrera while I work, as they are a great pair of beauties to stare at!

Do you think you'll still wear the sun now you have the BB? The no-date is my favourite sub for sure, but I far prefer the shape and style of the BB.

Congrats Hubert. Interested to hear your thoughts. And knowing your views on the glassbox, do you notice the "milky ring" at all?

I'm sure the sub will be back on my wrist eventually, but not anytime soon. I'm in the honeymoon phase with the BB58 and I'm simply enamoured with it. So I'm a bit biased. Regardless, based strictly on aesthetics, I agree with you. :)

I’m really a Morning (Day) person ;) but both are very beautiful sir @Hubert ::love:: Congratulations!

Although the Speedmaster went up to space, the Carrera stayed true to its name

    I'm curious about that too.
It's funny, but the milky ring on the Speedy's crystal never really bothered me much until I noticed how Omega owners in the plexi camp constantly hate on it. Nevertheless, I love the FOIS.

But I have to say I'm very impressed with Tudor's domed sapphire on the BB58. Very little distortion and the milky ring affect is practically non-existent.

Thanks! The "milky ring" is certainly noticeable, but it doesn't bother me too much. The Omega's crystal curves on a sharper angle and the dial's color is uniform. Whereas the Carrera is more domed, causing more distortion and reducing visibility, which is exacerbated by the contrasting white chapter ring.
    upload_2020-12-22_10-31-41.png

In the end, I want the crystal to be as invisible as possible. But TH's glassbox is a constant reminder it's there.

This is what gives me pause on the Montreal (not my picture).

^The milky ring on the Omega doesn't bother me either, however it's quite prominent under certain lighting conditions. I think I might prefer the TH glassbox over Omega's domed sapphire.

As I mentioned before, I feel Tudor has done a good job with their domed crystal. I prefer the Tudor crystal over Omega's. Since I don't own a TH glassbox, I can't say for sure, but I think I prefer the Tudor's sapphire over it too.

Compared with the Carrera Telemeter & the Carrera Silver 160, the Carrera Montreal is more obvious I guess. The blue outer ring makes the distortion even more prominent.

Yes, that is why I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but I do acknowledge that I may give in.

The Tudor's dome doesn't look too bad. Can you take a picture from the profile to see its height?

BB58 side by side with the FOIS. Your thoughts?

One more, under softer lighting. I really love both watches! ::love::

Funny, after reading @abrod520 rave about his Black Bay GMT in the COCO WOTY thread, this pops up on my Instagram feed.

This is from a copy of Internationl Watch Magazine from 1993 ( I think). What sort of crazy is this? A quartz watch end link... to annoy you once the two clocks start running out of sync.

An interesting alternative to a GMT when you need to track two different time zones.
