Holy hell - AUD11,490 for the B01 on a bracelet:

Way too much! I like the panda model, but not enough to actually buy it.

To be fair, other websites have the 7750-Chrono at $6050 as against the B01 at $8,200...that does sound more likely. Don't love the bracelet, but the green Bentley model is something different..green leather!

Didn't Breitling sue TAG over the (admittedly Breitlingesque) 2000 design with the gold overriders on the bezel? Maybe it's payback time?

I saw the Bentley model and it does look nice. On the Aus site, it was more expensive than the non-Bentley B01 on leather. The 7750 chrono is AUD 8290 which is also much too expensive for what you are getting even considering the COSC certificaion.

Yeah but.... Hamilton. Who really cares?
No doubt Breitling made a watch that looked like that in 1942 or something....
It seems like the whole intellectual property debate thing has gone out of the window with watches. So many microbrands just making faux Submariners, Rolex should be clearing up!

I was tempted, but decided to pass. Regardless, it's a great looking piece for a very affordable price.

I guess if you can't afford the real deal then I guess it makes sense. I have a vaguely irrational dislike of Hamilton for some reason.

Me too. I can't handle those long, skinny lugs. Just decided to save up for a 2nd hand modern Autavia.

Size is moving in the right direction at 40mm, but lug to lug is just shy of 50mm and it's quite thick so not ideal for me. I like the look, but Hamilton as a brand has never really excited me. Bought a Hamilton Khaki once but sold it after a couple of days.

As in the ‘calibre 17’ variety or the new 02s? I’d like to see some new ‘heritage’ style Carerras. If only to push down the same price of the remaining stock of the past set released. :D

I think the Jack era Cal 17s are amongst the best looking watches TH have made.

I've been waiting for the Heuer02 Carreras we saw pre-Baselworld and given the popularity of the Calibre 18 Carreras (Hodinkee Skipper & The Rake) maybe other future limited editions based on the 38mm case.

Absolutely, those Calibre 17 Carreras and of course their 1887 predecessor are what reignited my love for the brand back when they were released.

I do quite like the 01/02 design. Maybe lacking in iconic stats to the heritage variants but an interesting design. I’m just not settlednon which one yet. There are so many, nevermind the bewildering array of limited editions that all look the same unless you have a transparent arm :D

The 02T ‘snake’ watch looks cool.

But none of them come close to the simple elegance of the heritage releases. I’d live if they did a ‘dressy’ version in PM a bit like Omega have done on occasion with thr Speedmaster.

Oh yes, if I had had the money I would definitely have bought the Tete de Vipere 02T the night I tried it on.

It could well be an urban legend - but every time I see one of these for sale people always put 'this is the watch that Breitling sued TAG over'... could be total cobblers, but that's what I hear over and over again.
