Not 100% sure but I think the globe spins and the Snoopy module moves or something like that. Couldn't actually find it on Omega's website.

Yeah that is pretty cool, but I'd prefer a white dial over silver personally.

OK the price here is 10 000 Euro, so many other things I would choose before a snoopy Omega. Insane pricing

I can't justify buying this one, which is €500 more than my A11 50SS with a steel bracelet missing, no gold, pin buckle instead of deployant and being non-limited.

Tried on one of these last week, the £23k price tag was a bit of a hurdle.

Why's the pic so bloody large?

Snoopy was the official mascot of NASA. The Omega Speedmaster the official watch of NASA, the only one certified for space missions.
The two came together on Apollo 13, famous for "Houston we have a problem". Because the crew turned a near catastrophic failure into success, by using the Speedmaster as part of the recovery process, everyone was awarded the Silver Snoopy award.

Omega, ever vigilant these days to leverage such marketing opportunities, put Snoopy on the certain LE Speedmasters to honor Apollo 13. This year is the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 13 mission.

i have my name on one. But will likely hold off until next year until buying as it is not LE no need to rush in.

interesting how one announcement on OF generstes more traffic n a day than we see in an entire year here combining all the new releases together

i agree the price is v steep for a non-LE. Omega in general have hiked their proces up considerably in the past 18 months as well as the Chf strength has added to that. One I picked up ‘nearly new’ 18 months ago - the RRP is not up almost 40%.

i do like this new snoopy. But at that price if I do buy anything else this year it’ll be a DSOTM rather than this. It pulls harder on the heartstrings.

Thanks sir @Mspeedster ! I’m just too lazy to search :D
If there’s one thing that lures my interest in an Omega, it’s 007. I never dreamt of spaceships-satellites or going to the moon & space.. and its probably the reason why Speedmaster didn’t appeal to me that much. But nonetheless. its a great story, and all superbly designed watches with a great story becomes iconic at some point ;)

It is quite a novel caseback. The 14s ‘burn’ is a nice touch.

First time I've ever spotted a grave accent on 'tachymetre'. I probably don't move in fancy enough circles!

Well, it's kind of the opposite for me. LOL
I don't like Omega for 007, which is pure marketing product placement as far as I'm concerned. In Ian Fleming novels, he wrote that James Bond wears a Rolex. In the original movies from Connery through Moore, Bond wore the Rolex Submariner. Hence I don't own an Omega Seamaster.

OTOH, the Speedmaster was originally introduced as Omega's racing chronograph in the 1957, pre-dating Heuer's Carrera. The NASA certification came a decade later. I like the Speedmaster for its classic chronograph looks and racing intentions, rather than its connection with NASA and space missions.

By far the most special thing about the new Snoopy is the animated back. I think without it, it would be a pass for most.
