The Sony backed FES Watch is now available to purchase on Amazon. I ordered one... I'll post some pics when I get it.

The FES Watch arrived today. A few test pics on my right wrist. My Connected was firmly planted on my left.

The watch faces are a tad over the top with the styling but I like how they are actually useful rather than just pure skeuomorphism.

Yes, I like them too. This raises the bar in terms of quality and accessories.

Since TAG Heuer is a sub-brand of the LVMH, I wonder if the Qualcomm partnership will extend to our next Connected.

Some really smart thinking shown off in the tutorials:

The physical ring isn't just some vestigial remnant from mechanical watches. Here it's used to show opening hours for local restaurants in the guide app:

Or show weather conditions at different times of the day:

Yes, they have some interesting use cases in there.

That is an interesting way of showing information, differentiates between that and all the android wear clones.

Yes, I'd like to see it in the metal to see how polished the UI is. But I anticipate this will be a hit, especially with fashion conscious women.

I think that's a particularly ugly bezel, but it's a great concept. Imagine if the connected bezel could be used to show information...

I think they should consider adding a rotating illuminated bezel with touch capabilities. That way they could light or change the color of specific numbers to denote specific events, timers, etc..

In case this hasn't been mentioned earlier, luxury goods manufacturer Louis Vuitton (part of the LVMH family in which TAG Heuer is a member) released its own smartwatch, the Tambour Horizon, available in a 42mm case size. It retails for $2450 USD in steel.

Undoubtedly JC Biver had a hand in its creation. He is, of course, the head of all LVMH watches, and this smartwatch is called a "connected watch", a term used with the TAG Heuer Connected. Like the TAG Heuer Connected, the Tambour Horizon was a collaboration with Google, does not have a heart monitor, works with iOS and Android, and has a dizzying number of straps.
