It's a striking watch but I definitely prefer the Calibre 11 1979-89 Monaco 50th Anniversary

Just realised reading this and looking at the pics that the dial is in fact silver not ‘white’ as I thought, it looks white in the shot in the first post here I think but David’s pics correct that, I like the ‘not quite white’ look but wouldn’t refuse the watch because it is actually silver.

This TAG Heuer Monaco Grand Prix will probably start the design language of the new modern Monaco watches. I’m starting to think TAG Heuer should also have an In-House movement with 2 registers (minutes & seconds) on the 9 & 3 o’clock. That will be a welcome development that can also be used in the Carrera range. The crosshair seconds in the 6 o’clock maybe a divide depending on how one looks at it, same as the new Carrera 42mm. Wishful wishful thinking perhaps :whistling:

PS: I’m not really sure why TAG Heuer is scrapping the Calibre 1887 / Heuer 01 movement TBH. It’s a great movement, only the haters will say otherwise. I have three and never had a single issue.

Agree, I much prefer the 6-9-12 layout.

The photo at the top of this thread is superb, it really shows off the bevelled subdials, which I hadn't noticed before. Good work!
