Thought you might like to see these two items on eBay. Items 332293134350 and 332300244674. Two different listings, yet the same photo used for each. Is this watch not supposed to be 80s rather than 1990s?

update: just received it. The serial number is a bit worn but it is WK-1111-1, what year is this estimated?

The model number, WK1111, is from the period 1992 to 2002. In 1992 the convention changed from xxx.xxx to yours, and around 2002 a third letter was added. Have you had a look at the Ultimate Guide here? https://www.calibre11.com/tag-heuer-2000-series/ I'm wondering if this is a 2nd Generation between 1995 and 1998? There is a photo in the guide that looks pretty similar to me, but I'm interested in what the experts think.

Thanks! I have checked it out, and I noticed the piece you were talking about. Seemed like there were subtle differences.

Just for clarity, WK1111-1 is not the serial number, it is the model reference number. Your serial number will be something else that is unique to your watch.

I can offer a little "2000 History" to the discussion. I'll freely admit that most of my information has been from Calibre 11!

I believe the WK series came out in 1995 (2nd generation as depicted in the article referenced above). From 1991 to 1994, it was the WE series (the only reason I know this is because I own a WE1110). Prior to 1991, it was a numbered series (e.g. 962.006). The WK series remained in production right up to 2004 (it was called the Classic 2000). It got a new brother in 2001, the WN series which was marketed as the 2000 Exclusive series. In 2004 a new 2000 "brother" came out along side these two - the WAB series which was also known as the 2000 Aquaracer. Why would this be significant? Because in 2005, the series became the Aquaracer series and remains so up to this day!

As for ATna909's watch above, as other more experienced members have stated, it's an authentic Classic 2000 quartz and looks to be in decent shape - although the case back may have been over polished at some point. The serial number should be somewhere on the caseback (underneath the model number or to the side). In either event, enjoy your classic 2000 and wear it in good health!

Thanks that's really interesting, and I'm pleased to see I may have been close to correct. Someone must have worked hard if the serial number has completely gone.

It looks genuine; I am guessing the seller is asking for a premium because of the Champion logo.
Prices for stopwatches vary across the range; some can be had for as little as 200$, all the way to thousands for an Autavia dashboard timer.

Sounds fair; a better picture of the case back should show a Heuer sticker unless removed.

Oh I've been looking for one these...

No mention of the missing bottom pusher and the top one hanging off.... Dover Jewelry is obviously the place to shop for your pristine 100% genuine pre-owned TAG Heuer!

Look down the right hand side and you will eventually find a tiny bit of text that says 'report item', because they REALLY want you to do this so they make it really easy and easy to spot! ::rant:

Look for the "Report Item" link at the bottom of the photo section. Then I think it's prohibited items/fake counterfeit goods.
