Well after more than 20 years after first sighting online the Steve McQueen Blue face, left hand crown Monaco and
falling in love instantly, I can say I've finally taken a big step towards being a part of that dynasty.

I have had a Calibre 17 Blue CW2113 Monaco for more than 10 years and it was my best friend, but there was always a part of me that thought it was just not right with the crown on the right.
Desperately wanted to buy the 1000 piece LE when it came out some 9 years ago but was not cash rich at that time and remember the feeling of letting it go.:(

I am happy to say that now I can finally say the crown is on the correct side as I have just picked up my CAW211P in Tokyo. it's basically in new Condition and I got it for what I call a good price considering its condition.
It feels so nice to finally have a Calibre 11 on my wrist and be a true part of the club. My old CW2113 has been good to me and a faithful partner for many years but it is time to find a new home with someone who will hopefully enjoy it as I did.

Im in Tokyo at the moment, have been here many times and know it pretty well but there are always people who know it better than me.
Would love to get some info on any Vintage watch shops in Tokyo that anyone knows about.
If you have any places that are not well known or off the beaten track, I'd appreciate some directions.

    Cheers

Congrats!!! Nice story. The Monaco CAW211P is the definitive modern/retro Monaco, wear it in good health!

Regarding Tokyo, Shinjuku is where I go to look at watches, both new and vintage. There are lots of little watch stores close by the train station and some bigger stores too (e.g. Best Watches & Yodabashi Camera's Watch store), just need to wander around to find 'em. Of course there's the TAG Heuer boutiques in Ginza and Harajuku as well.

Another area is the shopping arcade by Nakano station. Lots of watch shops there and easier to spot 'em, mostly used watches.

Thanks for all the advice Mspeedster.. Im off the Shinjuku and Nakano today to have a look around.
Tokyo is a great watch city and it always surprises me how many LE Japan only models that they get here.
Japan is obviously an important market for TH and especially the Senna models are very popular as he is a God in this country after his success with Honda all those years ago.
Was looking at the green Monaco yesterday, was released some time ago but still a few available with an LE count of only 100.
Green is obviously not the flavour of the month.

After following Mspeedsters advice I made my way to Nakano in Japan today and found the most amazing used watch shop. It’s called Jack Road. Full of Chinese tourists looking to fullfill their watch appetite.
Jack Road is situated in a complex called Broadway, and are part of an amazing shopping area pretty much dedicated to anime collectors and about 6 or 7 used watch shops with the most amazing selection.
Where my collection at the beginning of the day was 16 it’s now 17, after not being able to say no to a Jack Heuer 80 Carrera LE Calibre 17 from 2012.
That’s 3 watches in 3 days. Thank god i have to go to work for the next 5 days!

Oh there is also an amazing little store dedicated to F1 products from days gone by, gloves from drivers and racing suits used by former drivers and lots of Knick knacks.
In the front window was I would say their most prized item , a cap signed by Aryton Senna from 1992 for about $1500 USD.
If your ever in Tokyo, I highly recommend stopping by.

The green and red one is pretty crazy but definitely unique. How much were they asking for it?

Congratulations on the new Monaco! I almost bought one the other week relatively cheap and now kicking myself for not pulling the trigger.

The JH 80 Carrera is also a mighty fine piece and certainly one of my favourites from the modern TH era.

A good trip to Tokyo it seems. Many a good time spent in Japan, but it was before I was addicted to watches.

My new baby, she's a very nice classical piece.
Strangely enough, even though this watch was released some 6 years ago now, and limited to 3000 pieces, the Ginza Tag Heuer Boutique still has one piece unsold in the store.
I'm away from home but will try and find some photos of my collection and post them one by one.
For now, here is my latest.

^That's a beauty! Congrats again, for the 3rd time!

What the Ginza Tag Heuer Boutique told me is that TH HQ will sometimes send them new old stock on LE pieces that were thought to be sold out. So you just seem to be on a lucky streak!
