I wish TAG would make this in a man's watch

Or something similar, reminds me of those black/gold watches from the early days of TAG, but better looking.

How big is it? If it's at least 36mm (and I suspect it is) it'll actually fit quite well on a man's wrist.

Reminds me of the Breitling "women's" 38mm model they introduced a few years ago, turned out to be one of the best pieces in their lineup

35mm T-H say. I am happiest with 36mm but having recently acquired a couple at 38mm and being pleased with them I think I'd also be happy with 35. Reminds me of JPS-Lotus colours, so if I actually wanted a 2017 watch I'd give it serious consideration.

Yes, that blue dial is fantastic. Already offered to buy it for the wife (her 40th coming up) but she's not as keen as I am.

I can't really go sub 40mm... 35mm would look ridiculous on me, I'm like 235lbs.

Not really - she doesn't care about quartz/mechanical. For her, quartz is best because she doesn't like having to re-set the time on the watch every time she switches. :)

This is her current main daily wear:

You can, I'm bigger than you (have the body of a linebacker without any of the athleticism) and while my Carrera is smallish at 36mm, it's not noticeable to anyone else. 38-39mm looks great on anyone

Oh these are quartz? I'm out.

Hmm, okay let me rephrase that then... I bought a 2000 of eBay which was I guess 35-36mm. Really nice looking black dial, but it looked really small on me. So I sold it to a friend with a tiny wrist and bought another 2000, which was 37-38mm. Wore that for a year maybe, but ultimately it still looked too small so I sold that and bought a F1 which is 40mm. So now I believe all my watches are 40mm or bigger, and I think 40mm still looks a little small, but is okay. No way in hell will I buy a 36mm anything.

Big difference between a 36mm dive watch which has a larger bezel and hence smaller dial, than a 36mm watch with no bezel.

True, but I still don't think it's going to look right on me. I know it's all about perception... my friend who I sold the smallest 2000 to was really happy with it and it looked fine on him, until he bought a Pelagos LHD. Now it looks small...

I think the answer is you can wear small, you can wear large, but you can't wear both. If you have 3 x 38mm watches and 1 x 45mm the 45mm will look stupidly big. And if you have 3 x 42mm watches and 1 x 36mm then the 36mm will always look small.

I know other people won't notice, but it's more about how I think it looks on my wrist.

I was walking along the shopping mall yesterday.

Then i saw the only Rolex i really want to have, milgauss.

For some reason it seems smaller than i remembered it...

Then i realized i just been wearing my monza for a week now.

love those 36mm quartz carrera's for the ladies - especially the two tone, beautiful

it's gotta be 40mm or bigger for me though

quartz makes a lot of sense for many of the ladies - no hassle with a winder or setting over and over for them (not that I mind, lol)

I find I get used to changing sizes reasonably quickly, I regularly swap between my 39 and 44mm aquaracers and after a day or so, whichever is just the normal size. My 36mm carrera feels small thou, it's lovely and I'm used to it after a week, but it really would be better if it was 36mm.

Those careras are lovely, Mrs Dtf tried one on recently and liked it, although she also really likes the 36mm ladies aquaracer. I dislike the pricing of the ladies carreras, feels like quartz for automatic money, but quartz is definitely the right choice for my wife.
