That’s a great idea in pronciple, but that must really limit oppertunities to weat and enjoy your watches. Or are you swapping between beater and ripper multiple times a day? Or do you have to regularly frequent some rough areas?

So many reasons why I love traveling by car, never ever would I consider bus/train/subway on a daily basis to work. Occasionally when going to the airport car or taxi is the only option of course

I have worked in two cities named Cambridge on different continents but always lived outside. One was a nightmare for a car but OK on a motorbike and the buses were very convenient after a post-work beer, for the other a car was essential.

My commute to "work" is in slippers and dressing-gown. Last year I needed a beater on just four days. Two of those watch collection related, two while travelling to watch some Tour de France stages. Not onerous.

Yes, Cambridge in Cambridgeshire. (Checking Wikimadeuponthespot it seems the UK has 4 Cambridges and the USA 27!)

I got back to home half an hour ago... left Geneva sweltering (28deg) - got home to torrential rain, winds and trees all over the road!

Not going to say too much here, because it's 1AM, and I need to do a big post here and a huge post on my own blog... but it was amazing, and the best holiday I've ever had without a doubt. Huge thanks to David for fixing this up and of course to Paul and TAG Heuer for allowing me to visit. We saw the museum and the whole factory and I have plenty of pics to share - though they might need some work as the lighting in the museum is 'challenging', especially for a fairly terrible photographer like me! But I've seen so many things I've never seen before: 3000 Series, Airline, Titanium, Diamond Fiction, S/ELs... so much to report on and one thing that made me do a double take (I have a photo but it's not brilliant - and I did ask if it was okay to take it before I took it).

Also I have pics of Alec Monopoly's studio! :)

Thanks Hubert, Jim... I have so much writing to do, and many pics to crop and fettle... it might take a few days. But for now... here's a teaser or two.. (raw photos).
