As regulars will know, TAG Heuer won't be using the El Primero (Calibre 36) going forward. The first model was the 2002 Monaco Calibre 36, and the last was the Carrera Calibre 36 in 2013.

Would love to see some Calibre 36 models for those who have them and favourite models for those of us who don't...yet ;)

The Monaco 24s were really interesting; sad they will be no more. :(

Thanks @elbeik I have been considering pulling the trigger on one of these models; recently I even saw some better offers here in the US. I'll keep an eye out. Thanks!

It'll always be one of my favourite movements both in Zenith and in other brands, some of those nicer Carrera 36 models might hold their value quite well into the future given their relative scarcity and beautifully smooth sweeping seconds hand.

#7 for me, that's just badass, simple and clean with a unique look due to El Primeros small and compact subdial layout

#5 for me. Might have to try and find one of those (with my newfound love for the Monaco)

Wow! That's possibly a bit too thick!

Yes, I had made up my mind to buy one of these, but the thickness was a problem. I'd still love to pick one up at the right price

In case any of you missed it, back in 2013 ABlogToWatch.com reviewed the all-black Carrera Calibre 36 (item #7 above).

I own #4, 2 #5s and a #7. Love the Cal36s, they're the most worn TAG Heuers from my collection.

I haven't been online much so I must have missed out, but why did TH drop the Cal36?

#6 is my favourite. But when I had to choose, I bought a Zenith. This is the model I have (picture taken from the net).

Looks like I will retained my SLR Cal 36 for the sake that Cal 36 will become history in the Tag Heuer collection of fine watches. A regulator Cal 36 El Primero is unique and a rare piece. Up to now, I am still trying to find out approximately how many were made, perhaps someone in this forum knows the answer... The watch is numbered but no production number...
