It will be an interesting summer... I sure hope Stoffel keeps his seat, he has a lot more to show.

I don't see Daniel going to McLaren, I see him playing the game to get Red Bull to give him more money... why would McLaren want to spend £20m on a driver when they don't have a championship winning car?

Seems like a bad move, unless Honda can really bring it next year. I wonder if Red Bull will continued to be sponsored by TAG Heuer in 2019.

For me, I'll always associate the original "Heuer" with the Ferrari's of the '70s and "TAG Heuer" with McLaren.

I like Ricciardo, but it's just gross when he drinks out of his sweaty shoes. LOL. ::facepalm2::

I guess they figure that it's better to be a 'works' team rather than a customer team. Whatever Honda may say,Red Bull will be a works team because they are their best chance of a winner so their efforts are bound to be concentrated on them. It seems like Red Bull have looked at what Sauber have done this year and decided it's the way to go, but Sauber have still gone through more parts than they should I think...

Long and short of it is that Renault aren't really looking likely to up their game anytime soon and Merc/Ferrari engines would be a sure fire way to second class team (not that they'll supply them anyway) so RB don't have a lot of options. Seems like it's the best they can hope for until the new regulations in 2021, and maybe then they'll be able to build their own engine - which is surely the best option long term. Especially as F1 is so political, and being a supplier gives you more clout.

Well, that's what McLaren thought too and where did it get them? But who knows, Honda has been back now for a number of years and perhaps they can up their game.

Fair comment! Perhaps if they hadn't wasted $50m employing Alonso to drive a car that wasn't worthy of his talents they could have spent it on engine development instead?

I think this might be a good move for him. Especially if the rumors of a $20m pay packet are true. But leaving that aside, clearly Max is Red Bull's chosen son and Ric has been there too long. Plus I'm not convinced the Honda engine is going to bring Ric a WDC, but Renault might. They've always outperformed their budget and took Fernando to two championships let's not forget.

Maybe he got fed up waiting for a TAG while Max got two?

My co-driver Stoffel on the back seat of my Impreza 1,5R. Still hope he will not move to # Wellton for the eminent lack of power...

He must be showing a lot of potential. Let's see how he gets along with Max.
