In case any of you had not seen it yet, ABlogToWatch.com posted a video on April 28, 2015, of Tag Heuer's booth at Baselworld 2015:

The host in the video (Ariel Adams) is handling several of Tag's watches and comes across some Carreras. At around 2:03 in the video, he picks up what appears to be a new 43mm Calibre 16 Carrera with racing strap. It looks a lot like the current Calibre 1887 Racing model CAR2A80.FC6237, but this one obviously has Calibre 16.

The next watch he picks up is another 43mm Calibre 16 model. The host says it's a new model, but it looks exactly like the current Calibre 16 day-date CV2A10.FC6235. He says that there are a lot of tweaks, like ceramic bezel and new hands.

Finally, he picks up a 41mm Calibre 16. I think this is the model that was mentioned in another calibre11 forum posting, which itself discusses Tag Heuer's announcement on Facebook of a new 41mm Calibre 16. Tag previously had older models like CV2014, which was taken off its catalog website recently (I believe).

The font used in the numbers looks much better.

The font used for the minute numbers on the main dial now matches the font used on the outer bezel. Look at the number "2", for example. The mismatched fonts in the earlier model would not have gotten past Steve Jobs.

However, I prefer the font used on the main dial of the older version.

If I understand your observation correctly, the fonts do look similar, but they are not still identical. Taking the 2 from your example, in the Tachymeter it starts horizontally, but on the minute markers they start vertically. Are you referring to a different subdial?

I'm referring to the main dial, not the subdials.

If you look at the 2009 version, the "2" in "25" and the "2" in "120" on the tachymeter ring do not match at all with respect to font. On the 2015 version, they are much closer in appearance, but as you said, they are not exactly identical. I actually like the font of the main dial from the 2009 version more.

Thanks for the clarification; we are looking at the same numbers. I like the new font more; probably less legible, but a bit more discrete.

Do you mean "discreet" or "discrete"?

    Meant discreet; betrayed by auto-fill.

The new Carrera models mentioned in this thread are now showing up on Tag Heuer's USA online catalog website. The "Senna" special editions are also now online. I can see that the older Carrera 41mm Calibre 16 Day-Date models have been removed.
