I disagree with the article, the only thing I would want from a Harrods Limited Edition would be the green.. all they've done is put the old bezel on the JH85. Thus negating one of the best elements of the JH85.... utterly pointless.

"Every purchaser also receives an exclusive ticket (with +1) to a five course degustation lunch at Siglo (Melbourne), held in early August, co-hosted by Time+Tide and TAG Heuer, with the guest speaker to be David Chalmers, who will speak candidly about what it was like to launch one of the most successful limited editions in recent TAG Heuer history. David is the founder of Calibre 11, and was the man behind the phenomenon that was the ‘Jo Siffert Collector’s Edition’ – with all 100 pieces selling in a matter of hours. David will be reveal the inspiriation behind his limited edition Autavia and the process of getting the watches made."

I agree the H bezel looks less interesting than the MH or Hodinkee's Tachy. However there are siginificant differences with the JH85 edition. The most important one is that the Harrods Autavia seems to have the same crisp white dial as the JS edition. That is a big plus, I really love that dial! Apart from that it also has the Heuer only bridge and rotor. This has only been the case on the JS edition so far. The Hodinkee has the TH rotor. All in all I like this one more than the standard 2110 and the JH85 and that has all to do with the white dial. The only drawback is the bezel. The JS is still king of the hill though!

Yes, first prize is dinner with me, and second prize is two dinners with me!

For anyone looking to buy an Autavia in Australia, this will be a fun evening and the Time+Tide offer includes a few goodies as well as the CBE2110 Autavia of course

Got the Siffert out of the safe today and put the leather strap on for the first time.
Getting some wrist time after a bit of a photo shoot.

Looking good. I'm at TAG Heuer on Tuesday, so should have an update on the fix for the mainplate update

Since you'll be in the same place as my Autavia has been for the past month, can you ask them how long they plan to take to repair it? ;)

I don't like Harrods as an establishment. It's famous but it is very tacky. A Liberty of London LE would be classy, although I'm not sure it sells watches? Definitely does jewelery tho'.

The Harrods Watch Room is pretty spectacular and well respected as a retail outlet. The store itself is steeped in history so I'm not sure why you would think it tacky. It's owner has possibly attracted some criticism but that is generally directed at him and not the store.

For me Harrods is just a shop with expensive things for sale. It feels like an upmarket TK Maxx! I've never liked it, no real style there. I'd say Liberty is far more steeped in history. And quality!

@abrod520 Was this service required to correct the small offset in the chono hands when zeroed? Or something else?

Just that; mine came with the proper 'Heuer' mainplate. Can't wait to see if it comes back with a TAG one though!

I think I may have a similar issue with my new acquisition. Currently running the chrono for extended period to see if the issue resolves itself

Interesting. Mine did reset properly after running the chrono for a long time, but then would go right back to the improper alignment next time I used the chronograph.

It's not unusual for new movements to have a few teething issues, but it shouldn't be taking 4 months to fix.

I see one sold on eBay this morning (GBP 6,000.00). I hope that the new owner sees this message and gets in touch with me- despite several reminders, the seller did not register the warranty for the watch, meaning the new owner is not covered.

Weirdly the same watch appears still to be on sale on chrono24. Maybe it's just not been updated yet
