Well, my watch budget is very constrained at the moment, but if you got one laying around I'll happily accept it;)

Oh the case isn't the problem. It is indeed a nice case design. It's the movement that's the real letdown.

I'd go streaking if we could get a no-date Heuer-02 movement into the Telemeter case, but I don't think it would fit.

If I’m not mistaken it’s the Calibre18. So I doubt if it actually would be possible to squeeze in the Heuer02 movement...

Yep, it's a cheap movement with a cheap chrono module slapped on top. It's so cheap you can actually feel it.... You can get a $200 Seiko with better quality.

it's a real shame given that it's the only movement option in the most attractive watch (and limited variants of) that TAG has made in a long time

    Leak! Leak!

I will tell you one thing- there is a brand/ person/ organisation in the name of the watch..and it’s not Calibre 11.

David is so upset the 200 Monopoly editions sold out immediately so he had to make a new better version come true :D

I have no idea about who it might be but suddenly I came to think about the Ronnie Peterson re-edition. Could it be a new version based on the same case/style etc

Just in the model name, or will there be "accents" etc in the design?

Given that we're hinting at "Legends of the 1960s" my guesses are Mario Andretti, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, or Carroll Shelby since the already-released Autavia is essentially a reissue of the model Jochen Rindt wore and Jo SIffert, Clay Regazzoni etc were more successful in the 1970s.

Shelby or IMS would be too easy, since their logos appeared on the Carrera 45 Dato which we've already seen mashed-up with the Skipper for the Hodinkee watch - and while laziness is a core tenet of TAG's model lineups , it certainly isn't one of DC / Calibre11.

Dare I get excited that you and TAG could have taken a page out of Jaeger-LeCoultre's playbook for the Deep Sea Chronograph and slimmed down the Autavia case, cut the running seconds and date from the Heuer-02, and created a sensibly-sized 3646 reissue? Of course, it was 1969 when Mario Andretti won the Indianapolis 500 (very likely with a Heuer on his wrist) so that'd probably be best left for next year, but hey

OTOH, 2018 is the 50th anniversary year for a Heuer model that took its name from a certain muscle car, a name that could be said to be a brand (though it is more of a trademark really)

I wish I'd done a rubber strap model now, or a Grand Carrera!
