Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder, but it's factually not a Carrera.:D

I hope so much copy and so much edition of the same, does not affect the already wonderful 85th of Jack Heuer, if we start to burst the chicken of the golden eggs, tag Heuer will lose credibility again, we have to do new things, I'm sorry, it's my opinion.

I think I know what you are getting at but the "white" dials of the JH85, which is actually silver, and of the Calibre 11 model are very different.

I'd be surprised if we saw many more Autavia variants after this one. But never say never.

it's the only thing I like about this edition, the white sphere, I do not like the reverse side with glass and the blue needles. we could have made a more different edition of Autavia, GMT type, or with two subshells, etc. and not copy an existing model of limited edition. It gives the feeling that the one that Jack Heuer designs is the ugly one and the nice one designed by the forum. I have always said that when a thing is well done, why should I touch it?

Unfortunately, JC Biver does like his Limited Editions... a lot really. Just look at what he did with Hublot.
I'm sure hoping this doesn't happen a lot with the Autavia, but there's "room" for it: GMT, Viceroy, any auto racing event, Gulf, Red Bull, Senna, etc. Jesus, they even did one for UAE (?!?)

Good thing is, the Siffert Ltd Edition is 100 piece only, and there's not a lot more to do with Jo+Heuer legacy, which makes me happy I got one :D

I think limited editions add variety and longevity to a model.

Care to count the previous Carrera calibre 16 and 1887 variations across the years? Or Monacos?

Notably some of those special editions are the most sought after, JH 85, space X, etc

the only edition of Monaco that is listed is the 40th anniversary signed by Jack Heuer, with 1000 units. I am happy with my Autavia 85th anniversary, a limited watch, signed and designed by Jack Heuer and they also gave me a 30% discount off the initial price, even happier.

someone said further back, that "lucky you do not buy the JH 85th and the steel Daytona" ..... please, compare this autavia with a Rolex Daytona ..... we better not talk

So after jumping on the Heuer train last Xmas by buying a Montreal I've moved on to a mint TH1000 diver and now this stunning JS Autavia. Oh and that rowing chrono also came in today... What is happening to me?

I don't know why people get upset about Limited Editions, the more the merrier I think. And if you don't like one well there's no reason to buy it. As a Heuer01 original owner, I could get upset about the multiple variations, particularly the leather strap variants... honestly it would be nice to know what's coming out in a year or two, but you just have to make a decision and stick with it. All things being equal if I knew the leather strap drive timer was coming then maybe I wouldn't have bought the original rubber strap version, but that's life and, lets not beat about the bush - commerce. I'd much rather have a company like TAG making limited editions rather than a company like Rolex with their dull range (although I wish TAG would document them better).

Hi there, new user. Managed to nab one of these beauties for myself and one for my father-in-law (Swiss guy with a vintage racing obsession and pictures of Rindt/Siffert/Mansell etc in his office... go figure) . I'm having them shipped to his home in Switzerland to avoid that pesky EU value added tax.

Only thing is that almost 24h later I still don't see any reservation or confirmed transaction on my credit card, even though the orders were both confirmed. Anyone else also experiencing delays?

@TonyStark I was not. Having worn both the standard Autavia and JH85 it is the height that put me off. As a casual watch it works, but not under a cuff, and I already decided that my next watch would fit.

If I hadn’t spent a fortune on car things as well in the last month then I may have convinced myself another casual watch was in order

The Siffert Autavia deserves all the appreciation it’s getting and no wonder it sold out so quickly, it is lovely to look at and DC did a stellar job with the details. Truly a great piece.

What does "N" mean? "No chance", "None", or something like that?

Yeah this... and diameter...was something that worried me as i said earlier in thread. Bigger than im used to.

I'm just in an airport and tried on a standard autavia with the tag dealer. Happy to say it sat well... as the forum member suggested it would. Regarding the height it did interfere slightly with the cuff but that was hard to gauge definitively since i didnt tuck the strap in fully. Only time on the wrist will really tell. Feeling much more confident now.
