By day I mean from about 8am to 10pm. If I use the sport mode to track a cycle or walk it only lasts a few hours. I’ve tried running it down and recharging and I’ve done a factory reset but no difference. Any ideas anyone? Because I love the watch but it’s no use to me when it keeps running out of juice!

I’ve now had my tag Heuer connected gen 1 over 5 years. The battery still lasts easily one day. Usually after 14 hours with always on display using tags own faces I’m left with 30 percent left. However that’s only using it as a watch, maybe notifications only. I have bought a new battery ready to replace it but it’s still going strong. Anyone else have experiences of gen 1 or 2 battery life ?

Hello there !!! I have a gen 1, with 5 years too and my battery, if I use it only in clock mode it will last 1 day like yours I also have one to change if it gives me problems but for now I will wait, 1 day is what has lasted me forever since I bought it

Good to know, they seem to last well. Do you wear and charge yours everyday ? What would be nice is a watch app which tells you the battery health, similar to the ones you get on phones.

So that’s well over 1500 charges which is amazing on one battery. I have a gen 2 also which performs as well. They both use the same battery type also.

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I have a 2018 connected modular 41. Battery is completely shot. I got fobbed off by Tag Heuer service in the matter.
I have it now with an approved watchmaker who is an approved repairer and service agent for all high end watches -
Problem is Battery seems impossible to get.
This could be why Tag dismissed the issue.
Would anyone know the source of the Battery in the 41 or if a compatible battery is available from another smartwatch manufacturer?

Wow I’ve been asking the same questions. The connected gen 1 battery is also impossible to find. However the gen 2 battery is relatively easy to find at least for the moment.

Thank you very much. How difficult or easy is it to swap leads over?

If you can solder this should be straight forward if not have someone do it for you.
    TH_41_Battery.jpg

The battery has 2 tabs and are +/- marked that are soldered to the PCM(Power Control Module) Blue box above.
This PCM has replace the PCM on the new battery so you have the right main board connector and any logic TH added to this PCM will be maintained.

Did this swap work out? I love my 41 and would like to keep it ticking. Battery issues killed my old galaxy watch and being proactive makes sense.

Had difficulty locating battery. One listed no longer available. I exchanged some stiff mails with Tag service on the matter and they asked me to send the watch back to them. I returned it 3 week ago and am waiting on a reply/returned repair. Will let you know how it goes. Dreadful that Tag would use a 'bastardised' battery whe they could have drawn a stock battery similar to Samsung - of which is widely available for even their earliest watches.
    I love my 41 myself.

Hi, did you ever find out the make and serial number of the battery required. I think the tag connected gen 1 has the same issue, however the connected 45 battery is easy to find

Keeping an electronic watch going longterm can be a challenge.
A quick search gives at least 3 aliexpress sellers for the connected 45 batteries. The 41 battery not so easy to find. By the way, the other part that is fiddly on disassembly for battery change is the plastic piece that goes around the case under the antenna piece, mine cracked when I disassembled it.
I got into collecting Omega f300s back before smartwatches were really a thing. I worked to get some parts ready for when they were hard to replace (over the years a couple coil modules have failed) and keeping the f300s running the last 15 years it has proved a good idea to have spares for parts that are prone to fail and our batteries are going to fail.

Can be a good idea in general to request a change to TH before the warranty expire....
