It looks nice, but it's a shame that the #truecarrera has been relegated to the Calibre 16 only :(.

Very true, yet I still hold high-hopes of seeing a Heuer 02 Carrera in its classic case sooner or later!

Like I said somewhere before, that watch with the Heuer-02 and a max. 41mm case would be a HUGE winner

And TAG, in their ever-respectful-of-their-heritage way, have responded by blessing us with 3-hander Autavia fashion watches!

Yes, I guess we need to interpret that as baby steps. ::rant:

41 mm, is that for your wife? Everything under 45 mm is lady watch, right?

Maybe if they don't make it...we can ;)

(that's not a hint...let me get the Siffert Autavia out the door successfully before we even think about what comes next!)

 A classic Heuer02 Carrera would be amazing, but let's not forget about the Autavia GMT.
I've said it before, this has to become a reality, one way or another, as it has been on your mind for months now!

I second this. I don't care about the nasty Hublot case dimensions or the unnecessary cluttering "HEUER 02" on the dial, I one hundred percent would buy a pepsi-bezel Autavia GMT chronograph.

Anyhooo.... I came across this pic on my gallery blog and thought - why didn't they just release that dial in a carbon case?

It looks so much better without the blue subdials don't you think?

Yes. But even with the aquamarine subdials, the main issue that you and others raised was their use of hollow fonts.

In the end, I think we'll get a more carbon cases on future models, maybe even on next year's 50th Anniversary model, so this doesn't look like a "must have" for anyone.

That and the fact that the subdials aren't lined up in the window!

Mostly disappointment. Imagine TAG had launched an attractive GMT chronograph at the same time that Rolex brought back their much-ballyhooed steel pepsi GMT, and for $1-2k less.... instead we get a limp cash grab
