Hi, I am a new member, hello!
I have a Autavia Heuer which I have no information about, all I know is that the glass is in bad shape, the strap is non original and the chronograph functions aren't working!
What do people think / suggest?

Have a look at the attached photo to see the state of it!
    I am based in Essex.

Look great- congrats. I'm posting an article on the Autavia shortly which will include a buying guide.

This is what I refer to as a second-generation Autavia, which has squarer lugs than the first generation model. You watch is a 7763C Autavia from the late 1960s (1968?) with a Valjoux 7730 movement.

    Definitely worth getting it serviced

Wow, thank you for the information, that is great!
I contacted a watch man and the service was £230 + parts, does that sound about right?
    Thank you for the reply.

Yes- do you know which parts he intends to fit? Make sure they're original. You won't get an original bracelet at that price, so I assume it's a service and new crystal?

That price is just for the service, the crystal he wouldn't be able to get and the parts would have been extra.
I wouldn't know where to start looking to have it serviced!

Just another update, I have worked on the crystal myself and it looks a million times better.

My next thing is I am looking for someone to suggest a nice strap to go with the watch, I was thinking like a rough brown leather strap, nothing too expensive, a bit rustic looking, maybe something like this:

    What are people opinions??

I'd recommend looking into Bulang & Sons for a nice leather strap. Your Autavia is beautiful, so make sure to pair it with a well-made strap!

Just a little update, I am thinking with sending an email to Heuerville.
I think I am looking at going for a distressed dark tan ish racing style strap.

I hadn't heard of Bulang & Sons, there are a lot on there, I will have a good look through.
