Bit the bullet on this one. Love the blue dial and the size is perfect for me.

Love the dial, the pattern almost looks a little bit Nautilus-esque though at a far more sensible price point

Congrats. I'm with you on the dial too. TAG Heuer make some brilliant blue dials (Carrera 1887 is also a favourite).

    Enjoy!

Gorgeous. I've had my eye on the same piece for a while now. Always wanted the blue dial.

Any thoughts on why the aquaracer never gets its due respect compared to other tags or other brand divers?

Congrats; I agree with David, the Carrera 1887 is also magnificent.

Tag doesn't promote it as much as the Carrera etc. I think it's popular and has alot of followers it just gets overshadowed.

I think it's awesome and the blue face is the best looking. I agree that the blue dial 1887 is awesome, but I'm def going with this aquaracer in the near future.

Not sure that it's not respected, just that it's pitched at the entry-mid levels- there has never been a Calibre 36 Aquaracer; we've never seen an Aquaracer concept watch, or any cool materials like carbon fibre. I've thought for a long time that there is a market for a high-end Aquaracer- a real 'tool watch" to replace the Aquagraph/ Super Pro type watches.

I also think the changes between the 300m and 500m models have been confusing (they've basically swapped cases), but there are new models coming this year, so hopefully that sets out the differences more cleanly

They were on the right track with the ti
full black models. I also find the 500m full black with rose gold bezel to be very attractive. Expensive but there are some bnib on various websites in the low 3k range

I think the Quartz watch really ticks that box, smart enough for any occasion, subtle enough that no-one thinks you're wearing a £1000 watch unless they look, so tough that it's practically indestructible - you can climb/surf/ride/dive with it...or use it as a bottle opener, and keeps perfect time for years on end, regardless of wether its worn or sat on the desk. I don't think a tool watch should be high end, it should be life-proof, affordable and look good.
