Did the factory reset... <sigh> reinstalled and reconfigured everything and all appears to be working properly. PITA.

I had the Strava issue before the update (since Nov last year), and have logged a ticket with Strava about it. Had an update yesterday that they're still working on it.

I also logged a ticket with Strava, they replied today that the issue has been worked out with Google. First try did not work, I tried again and finally it got to the right page to authorize Strava, now it is working fine.

can't connect at all noe was bad enough before , give up need to remove the "Smart" aspect in branding, I know I keep saying this but a smart watch which in my hands consistently looses bluetooth connection is pretty useless.

Ok, now found a new issue. The Google Fit app is calculating way too many calories it seems. I have done no exercise this morning, just walked the dogs (shih tzus, so slow dogs) it is tracking 800 steps and about 1000 calories burned. I wish that walking my shih tzus was that helpful in losing weight hehe

Ok, go to settings -> notifications->mail. Make sure Allow Notifications is on. Your mailboxes are shown there as well. Go into the one you want notifications for. Turn on :Badge App Icon, Show on Lock Screen and Show as Banners. That should sort it for you.

Also note that if you have silent mode enabled (button on left side showing red), mail and other notifications might not work. I'm still researching the relationship between that button and watch notifications.

Yes, do the above in phone. I'm trying this now... To get it to work I also had to turn on "Show in HIstory" then I had to restart my phone.

All three of those notification settings might not be required btw. After you get it working, feel free to play around with the combinations and let me know if they can be narrowed down!

It looks like mail notification changes on my phone aren't taking effect until after I restart it. My watch doesn't see mail notifications until my phone is showing the banners also. I'm still playing with this currently...

Soooo... if you are getting banner notifications on your phone and nothing on the watch, then check your phone's Wear OS app notification settings. Mail notification shown? Is it turned on? Yes to both = you've stumped this chump!
