Look who got the gold one.
Great find @Hubert
Yes, confirms a change of plan- the gold watch is still a one-off, but given to Ronaldo instead of auctioned
Well that is a shame, since presumably the proceeds of the auction would have gone to charity. An overpaid, prat of a footballer is hardly a charity!
Of course that poor football player deserves a free golden watch its not like he makes millions of playing sports every day...
Looks like Ronaldo needs some cash
More likely that two were made (e.g. they gave the prototype to Ronaldo?)
Confirmed: Two watches made. One for Ronaldo, one for auction
Why cant they make a steel one for mere mortals like me
Well, they did...but cost was high given there were only 40 of them
I mean "given" to mere mortal like me
I hear you
Yes wasn't that around €8000? Too high for me personally...
You could get a couple of hodinkee skippers for that!
Haha both one and two I guess...
I actually really like this gold version of the Pettersson Carerra, but doesn't it feel slightly strange to create a single, exact replica of the "real deal"? Wouldn't it be better to draw inspiration from it and move on with something new, instead of making this rather strange move?
With that said though, I wouldn't have anything against if Mr Biver showed up on my doorstep and offered me one...

One for sale in Stockholm, it sure is a cool watch but too damn expensive
